Constituents of Maydis stigma Chloroform Extract
Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2004We have investigated the chloroform extract of a commercially available herbal drug Maydis stigma (dried cut stigmata of maize, Zea mays L. ssp. mays, Poaceae), purchased from the herbal apothecary of the Institute for Medicinal Plant Research "Dr. Josif Pancic", Belgrade, Serbia and Montenegro. Powdered plant material (1.5 kg) was extracted with CHCl3

Extraction of some metal phenylacetates into chloroform
Talanta, 1972Phenylacetic acid has been found to be very useful as a reagent in the extraction of large quantities of certain ions, notable iron(III), cobalt(II), copper(II), lead, zinc, cadmium and uranyl. A 1M solution of the reagent in chloroform is used to extract up to 200 mg of certain ions from small volumes of aqueous phase.

Chloroform Extract of Reclaimed Rubber
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry, 1940Abstract 1. For any given reclaim, increased chloroform extract means greater softness and plasticity, but different types of reclaim with equivalent chloroform extracts may have widely different plasticities, or with the same workability may have widely different chloroform extracts. 2.

Chloroform-extractable material from bituminous coals
Fuel, 1971Abstract Material soluble in chloroform has been extracted from bright bituminous coals of two different ranks 1. (1) following preheating to the temperatures of maximal plasticity; 2. (2) after treatment with sodium in liquid ammonia; 3. (3) by fractionating the pyridine extracts; 4.

Chloroform extraction and polymerization of tetraphenylarsonium chloride
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1969Abstract Measurements of the distribution of tetraphenylarsonium chloride between aqueous sodium chloride solutions and chloroform give an ionization constant, K°, =0.079 and a partition constant (CHCL 3 /H 2 O), P°, =3.3 for monomeric (C 6 H 5 ) 4 AsCI at 25°.

Carbon dioxide extraction of residual chloroform from biodegradable polymers
Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 2002AbstractBiodegradable polymeric devices for drug delivery and tissue engineering are often fabricated with the use of organic solvents and may still contain significant amounts of solvent (> 1 wt%) even after aggressive vacuum drying. This excess solvent can interfere with tissue response and the mechanical properties of the devices. The aim of this
