Asymmetric Reduction of Unactivated Alkenes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Unactivated alkenes rank among the most inert functional groups in synthesis and their selective reduction remains challenging. This Review charts the evolution from classical metal‐catalyzed hydrogenation to radical hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) and emerging biocatalytic concepts, highlighting how complementary mechanistic strategies, including the ...

Mimicking The Photosynthetic Special Pair With Aluminum(III) Porphyrin Homodimer – Fullerene (C60) Supramolecular Assemblies Capable of Long‐Lived Charge Separation

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The axial‐bonding of aluminum(III) porphyrins was used to create two covalently linked special‐pair mimics to probe charge‐transfer between a porphyrin dimer and a C60 unit for artificial photosynthesis. Although excitonic coupling between the porphyrins is weak, incorporation of a second porphyrin markedly increases both the yield and lifetime of the ...

Optimization of a reactor for biostimulant production with emphasis on the economic aspects of hydrolysis

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
Abstract Biostimulants are increasingly used in agriculture to promote plant growth, improve stress tolerance, and support sustainable farming practices. One common method of production is chemical hydrolysis of protein‐rich waste, such as tannery by‐products, offering an economical and eco‐friendly alternative to conventional raw materials.

Consequence of Diverse Nitrogen Levels on Leaf Pigments in Five Rice Genotypes Under Field Emergent Circumstances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Bio-Resource and Stress Management, 2010
The paper assesses the effect of dissimilar nitrogen levels on chlorophyll a, b, a/b, a+b and carotenoids content in assorted rice genotypes growing in field situation. The experiment was conducted throughout kharif season in 2008 and 2009.

Chlorophyll b degradation by chlorophyll b reductase under high-light conditions

open access: yesChlorophyll b degradation by chlorophyll b reductase under high-light conditions
The light-harvesting chlorophyll a/b binding protein complex of photosystem II (LHCII) is the main antenna complex of photosystem II (PSII). Plants change their LHCII content depending on the light environment. Under high-light conditions, the content of LHCII should decrease because over-excitation damages the photosystem.

Green Chemistry im Chemieunterricht: eine farbstoffsensibilisierte Solarzelle mit sicheren und leicht verfügbaren Materialien

open access: yesCHEMKON, EarlyView.

High atmospheric pressure rescues plant growth under humidity stress: A model for climate‐resilient deep underground agriculture

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
High atmospheric pressure (120 kPa) in deep underground counteracts humidity‐induced physiological stress in plants, stabilizing water balance and enhancing antioxidative defenses. This synergy boosts biomass despite elevated humidity, demonstrating sustainable deep underground agriculture potential under climate uncertainty.
