Zur physiologischen Bedeutung von Chlorophyll b

Biochemie und Physiologie der Pflanzen, 1974
Summary In order to investigate the function of chlorophyll b three mutants without chlorophyll b were compared with the original form of Hordeum vulgare cv. Donaria. They show decreases in dry matter production, in chlorophyll a content, and in grain yield.

LTD coordinates chlorophyll biosynthesis and LIGHT-HARVESTING CHLOROPHYLL A/B-BINDING PROTEIN transport

The Plant Cell
Abstract Chlorophyll biosynthesis must be tightly coupled to light-harvesting chlorophyll a/b-binding protein (LHCP) biogenesis, as free chlorophyll and its precursors are phototoxic. However, precisely how these 2 processes are coordinated in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) remains elusive.

Preferential Binding of a Chlorophyll Derivative by a Water-Soluble Chlorophyll Protein Mutant

In the photosynthetic process, pigment-protein complexes use vibrational-electronic (vibronic) coupling to efficiently transfer energy from where light energy is absorbed to the reaction center. This vibronic coupling is the source of much interest because if it can be better understood, it can be applied to creating systems with customizable energy ...
