What Makes an “Ideal” Cell Line for Recombinant Adeno‐Associated Virus Production?

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
Several host cell types have been used to produce rAAVs to date. Cell line‐specific traits that are beneficial in the context of rAAV manufacturing are reviewed here, with the goal of developing a consensus on the ‘ideal’ characteristics that an rAAV production host should possess (created with Biorender.com).

Tackling cancer stemness with nanotechnology in the era of precision medicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Precise customization of nanoparticles (NPs) enables active targeting of cancer stem cells (CSCs), thereby improving drug delivery and therapeutic efficacy. NP‐based probing enhances CSC detection through imaging and liquid biopsy, whereas diverse therapeutic payloads improve therapeutic outcomes.

Characterization of Lysosomal Hydrolases and Transporters and Their Age‐Dependent Variability: Relevance to Drug Metabolism and Transport of Small Molecule and Biologic Drugs

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Lysosomes play a key role in the accumulation, catabolism, and transport of endogenous and exogenous metabolites and proteins and are involved in drug metabolism and prodrug activation. However, the protein abundance and interindividual variability of lysosomal drug‐metabolizing enzymes and transporters (DMETs) remain underexplored.

Low‐Dimensional Materials and Van Der Waals Heterostructures for Energy Application: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional materials (0D, 1D, and 2D) exhibit unique electronic and physicochemical properties, enabling advanced nanoelectronic and optoelectronic devices. Mixed‐dimensional heterostructures combine these materials to enhance functionality.

The effect of quinoline anti-malarial drugs on the endolysosomal and secretory pathways of plasmodium falciparum strain 3D7, dictyostelium discoideum and mammalian A549 cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Includes bibliographical references (leaves 92-109).The precise mechanisms of action of the quinoline anti-malarial drugs are uncertain, although they have been found to influence endocytosis, vesicular processing and secretion in malarial parasites and ...

Safety of Prenatal Anti‐Infective Use and Offspring Outcomes: A Panoramic Assessment by Indication, Drug Class, and Exposure Characteristics

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
Based on the comprehensive, panoramic assessment of the safety of prenatal anti‐infective use across indications, drug classes, and exposure characteristics, potential safety signals associated with prenatal exposure to several widely used anti‐infective drug classes were identified, including macrolides, metronidazole, tetracyclines, sulfonamides ...

Antimalaria Drugs

open access: yesپزشکی بالینی ابن سینا, 1994
One of the most important drug which use in malaria treatment is chloroguine, this drug has schizontocidal effect (except in the cases of plasmodium falciparum resistance to chloroquine). Primaquine had effect on exoerythrocytic stage of malaria parasite
