Natural Compounds Targeting Oncogenic Signaling Networks in Glioblastoma: Molecular Mechanisms, Translational Advances, and Clinical Perspectives

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly aggressive brain tumor with a poor prognosis, driven by abnormal signaling pathways that promote growth and resistance to treatment. Conventional therapies are inadequate, highlighting the need for novel multitargeted approaches.

Cancer Stem Cell Quiescence: Molecular and Microenvironmental Evidence for an Actively Regulated Adaptive Survival Strategy

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 15, Issue 9, September 2026.
Cancer stem cell quiescence is a regulated, reversible survival mechanism, preserving stemness and promoting therapy resistance through intrinsic programs and niche signals. Targeting these pathways holds promise for eradicating quiescent CSCs and preventing recurrence.

Design, Synthesis, and Evaluation of New 1,4‐Naphthoquinone‐1,2,3‐triazoles as Antimalarial Agents

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 9, September 2026.
Compound 9g, a 1,4‐naphthoquinone‐1,2,3‐triazole derivative, exhibited potent activity against P. falciparum 3D7 and in silico analysis revealed strong interactions with 1J3 and 1LDG targets, while MD simulations confirmed the stability of the ligand‐3FGO complex.
