Dietary Phospholipids and Intestinal Cholesterol Absorption [PDF]
Experiments carried out with cultured cells and in experimental animals have consistently shown that phospholipids (PLs) can inhibit intestinal cholesterol absorption. Limited evidence from clinical studies suggests that dietary PL supplementation has a similar effect in man.

We characterized the distribution of cargo proteins associated with extracellular vesicles using various exogenous loading methods. In all cases, single‐particle analysis revealed that the distribution of protein content per EV is heterogeneous, following an exponential decay function.

Cholesterol absorption and steroid excretion in cholesterol-fed guinea pigs.
Cholesterol absorption was studied in groups of guinea pigs fed diets containing 0, 0.1%, or 1% cholesterol. A similar proportion of tracer cholesterol was absorbed regardless of the cholesterol content of the diet.
