Cholesteryl Ester Storage Disease: Case Report during Childhood
Cholesteryl ester storage disease (CESD) is rare and characterized by accumulation of cholesteryl esters and triglycerides in many tissues due to the deficiency of lysosomal acid lipase. We report a 3½-year-old child with CESD.

Normal human plasma HDL was applied to a column of heparin-Sepharose in the presence of MnCl(2) and three fractions were obtained by stepwise elution with increasing NaCl concentrations: a non-retained fraction (NR, 78% of protein) and two retained ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Decoding Undesirable Inflammatory Responses of Nucleic Acid‐Delivering Lipid Nanoparticles
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) enable efficient nucleic acid delivery, but their immunogenicity is a double‐edged sword. This review explores LNP‐driven innate and adaptive immunity, covering lipid components, endosomal escape, and nucleic acid sensing.

CHOLESTEROL AND CHOLESTERYL ESTER CONTENT IN NORMAL AND PATHOLOGIC SCALE
Using a sensitive new assay, we have measured the cholesteryl ester and cholesterol contents of stratum corneum from callus, normal skin, psoriatic lesions (plantar and nonplantar), and lamellar ichthyotic lesions (plantar and nonplantar).

The cholesteryl ester exchange/transfer protein is involved in the transport of cholesteryl ester from high density lipoproteins (HDL) to very low density lipoproteins (VLDL) and low density lipoproteins (LDL). Localization of cholesteryl ester transfer activity (CETA) in plasma was studied by measuring CETA in various delipidated fractions from a ...

Abstract INTRODUCTION The apolipoprotein E4 (APOE4) allele is the strongest genetic risk factor for late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (AD). ApoE4 has reduced lipidation capacity and impaired lipid transport, disrupting neuronal maintenance. The high‐density lipoprotein (HDL)‐mimetic peptide 4F offers a potential therapeutic strategy.
