Tc-99m-NTP 15-5 assessment of the early therapeutic response of chondrosarcoma to zoledronic acid in the Swarm rat orthotopic model [PDF]
Background: Since proteoglycans (PGs) appear as key partners in chondrosarcoma biology, PG-targeted imaging using the radiotracer 99mTc-N-(triethylammonium)-3-propyl-[15]ane-N5 (99mTc-NTP 15-5) developed by our group was previously demonstrated to be a ...

An Atypical Hip Pain in a Recreational Athlete: A Case Report
ABSTRACT Osteochondromas are the most common benign bone tumors, but pelvic involvement is rare. We present a case of an iliac osteochondroma manifesting with atypical hip pain, adding to the limited literature on pelvic osteochondromas and highlighting the diagnostic and management challenges of such cases in an athletic population. A 28‐year‐old male

Don't cancel the surgery just yet! A case report of positive preoperative pregnancy test due to a soft tissue sarcoma production of ectopic beta human chorionic gonadotropin. [PDF]
Soft tissue sarcomas are a rare group of mesenchymal malignancies which can range from low to high grade. These tumors have different clinical, radiographic, and histopathological characteristics. Beta human chorionic gonadotropin is a naturally secreted

Multiple or metastatic clear cell chondrosarcoma: a case report [PDF]
We report multiple synchronous clear-cell chondrosarcomas in a 43-year-old patient. The patient had a lesion in the right proximal humerus and in the left femoral condyle. Bone scintigraphy revealed increased uptake in both foci.

Oncogenic driver and therapeutic target: Prolactin signalling axis in retroperitoneal sarcoma
Retroperitoneal sarcoma cells can secrete prolactin into the bloodstream, inducing hyperprolactinaemia, which subsequently triggers metabolic reprogramming, such as glucose metabolism. SOX4 can function as a transcription factor that facilitates PRL transcription.

Isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 mutations (IDH1) and p16/CDKN2A copy number change in conventional chondrosarcomas. [PDF]
To determine whether IDH1 mutations are present in primary and relapsed (local and distal) conventional central chondrosarcomas; and secondly, to assess if loss of p16/CDKN2A is associated with tumour grade progression, 102 tumour samples from 37 ...

LZ‐8 reduced IL‐6 and COX‐2 in LPS‐stimulated macrophages, partly by inhibiting MyD88‐mediated JNK‐MAPK signaling. LZ‐8 reduced inflammation and swelling in the ankle and palm of the feet in the animal model. High‐dose LZ‐8 reduced synovial hyperplasia, and all doses protected articular cartilage.

Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in Cancer: From Bench to Bedside Applications
Mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase affects multiple cancer types. Alterations in IDH1 and IDH2 result in abnormal enzyme activity, leading to the overproduction of D‐2‐hydroxyglutarate (D‐2HG). This metabolite disrupts cellular metabolism and epigenetic regulation, driving cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.
