Microfluidic systems and methods for chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)

open access: yes, 2014
An integrated microfluidic chromatin immunoprecipitation assay dramatically improves the collection efficiency of ChIP DNA from cells. Immunoprecipitation of chromatin fragments is conducted in a microfluidic chamber with a large fraction of its volume ...

Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) on Unfixed Chromatin from Cells and Tissues to Analyze Histone Modifications

open access: yes, 2007
International audienceINTRODUCTIONIn cells and tissues, the histone proteins that constitute the nucleosomes can present multiple post-translational modifications, such as lysine acetylation, lysine and arginine methylation, serine phosphorylation, and ...

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay in Candida albicans

open access: yes, 2016
Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) is a widely used technique which can determine the in vivo association of a specific protein on a particular DNA locus in the genome.

ANXA2‐mediated Phagocytosis Generates AR+ Macrophages to Confer Enzalutamide Resistance in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel resistance mechanism is mediated through phagocytosis of cancer cells by AR+ TAMs. This process, dependent on ANXA2, enables macrophages to acquire AR protein from engulfed tumor cells. The internalized AR translocates into the macrophage nucleus, where it binds directly to the IL‐6 promoter, augmenting IL‐6 transcription and secretion ...

DNA methylation in chromatin - complexes and mechanisms

open access: yes, 2010
The DNA in the eukaryotic genome is packaged into chromatin whose basic repeating unit is the nucleosome consisting of 147bp of DNA wrapped around an octameric histone core.

Prmt6 Deficiency or Inhibition Restores Microglial Homeostasis and Promotes Scar‐Limited Repair in Adult Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After spinal cord injury, adult microglia remain persistently activated with chronic PRMT6 (protein arginine methyltransferase 6) upregulation. Prmt6 deficiency or inhibition reestablishes microglial homeostasis and promotes a scar‐limited repairment, enhancing axonal regrowth.
