DEAE-Cellulose-Urea Chromatography of Casein in the Presence of 2-Mercaptoethanol

open access: yesJournal of Dairy Science, 1966
Abstract κ -Casein, after reduction of the disulfide bond(s) by 2-inercaptoethanol, can be separated from α s1 - and β -casein variants, as well as from whole casein, by DEAE-cellulose-urea chromatography. When κ -easein is in the reduced form it elutes from DEAE-cellulose at 0.05m NaCl.

Chromatography of Acidic Polysaccharides on Deae-Cellulose [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Biological Sciences, 1962
The chromatography of polysaccharides on resinous ion-exchangers has been reported by Steiner, Neukom, and Deuel (1958). Neukom et al. (1960) later reported the chromatography of a variety of wheat and sugar-beet polysaccharides on DEAEcellulose. Only "neutral" polysaccharides could be eluted at pH 6-8 by increasing buffer and salt concentrations; acid

PURIFICATION OF PEROXIDASE-LABELED ANTIBODY BY USING DEAE-CELLULOSE CHROMATOGRAPHY

open access: yesACTA HISTOCHEMICA ET CYTOCHEMICA, 1976
A method which facilitates the separation of the conjugated γ-globulin from both non-labeled antibody and unreacted peroxidase by use of DEAE-cellulose chromatography was shown in this paper. Using the new method of conjugation reported by Nakane and Kawaoi (1974), the isoelectric point of the peroxidase-labeled antibody was found appreciably to shift ...

Prospective application of diethylaminoethyl cellulose (DEAE-cellulose) with a high adsorption capacity toward the detoxification of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) from water

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2021
Detoxification of pesticide residues requires effective methods. In this regard, the adsorption efficiency of diethylaminoethyl cellulose (DEAE-cellulose) as an adsorbent material for the removal of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) from water at ...

Comparative hydrolysis effect of industrial xylanase purified from Bacillus stearothermophilus (ATCC 12980) on two kinds of xylan [PDF]

open access: yesزیست‌شناسی کاربردی, 2011
Xylan the major portion of the hemicellulose of plant cell wall is a heterogeneous polysaccharide. Xylanases(EC:3.2.1.8) are enzymes obtained from different species of microorganisms that degrade the xylosidic linkages of xylan’s backbone producing ...

Properties of Folate Binding Protein Purified from Cow's Milk

open access: yesHayati Journal of Biosciences, 2012
Folic acid played an important role in the metabolism of the body. To measure the serum folic acid levels could use the folate binding protein (FBP) from cow's milk with a technique analogous to ELISA.

Acid phosphatases and ribonucleases from Dactylis glomerata seeds. I. Chromatographic and electrophoretic heterogeneity of the enzymes

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2015
Acid phosphatase and ribonuclease extracted with 0.1 M sodium acetate buffer, pH 5.1 from Dactylis glomerata seeds, and partially purified by means of 70% ethanol precipitation showed electrophoretic and Chromatographic heterogeneity.

Chitinases from pitcher fluid of Nepenthes distillatoria

open access: yesCeylon Journal of Science, 2019
Chitinases belong to a diverse family of enzymes among many other hydrolytic enzymes of the pitcher fluid of Nepenthes sp. There are no existing studies on identification of chitinases in Nepenthes distillatoria the only representative of the genus ...
