Preparation of radiolabeled GM2 and GA2 gangliosides.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1979
GM2 and GA2 gangliosides from the brain of a patient who died of Sandhoff's disease were purified by solvent partition, silicic acid and silica gel column chromatography, and silica gel preparative thin-layer chromatography.

Catalytic TiO2 with Self‐Assembled Monolayer for Highly Sensitive, Selective, and Non‐Invasive Monitoring of Sweat L‐Cysteine

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐assembled monolayer of 3‐mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane (MPTS) molecular receptor and titanium oxide‐modified carbon cloth (MPTS/TiO2/CC) was synthesized for the specific detection of sweat L‐cysteine, which is associated with the precision neutrition, cardiovascular system and neuro system.

Use of Partial Purified Lipase From local Chicken kidney for Improvement the Flavor of Butter Fat

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
Lipase was extracted by Sodium acetate buffer (pH=6; 0.05M) Containing 0.1M NaCl. Enzyme content of crude extract was concentrated by gradual addition of ammonium sulfate at 30-60% saturation.

Boosting the Energy Density of “Anode‐Free” Lithium Metal Batteries via Electrospun Polymeric Scaffolds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
While host structures are known to enhance the reversibility and safety of lithium metal deposition, their additional volume and weight often decrease the battery's energy density and specific energy. By combining a lightweight and porous scaffold of electrospun polymer with a thinner separator, this article demonstrates a simultaneous improvement of ...

Isolation of 1,3-distearoyl-glycero-2-phosphocholine (beta-lecithin) from commercial 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1980
Different batches of 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DSPC) had varying amounts of contaminants which appeared to affect systematic biological studies.

Production of Specific Fragments of {varphi}X174 Replicative Form DNA by a Restriction Enzyme from Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Endonuclease HP [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
A restriction endonuclease from Haemophilus parainfluenzae degrades {varphi}X174 replicative form DNA into eight specific fragments, ranging from 1,700 to 150 base pairs and terminated specifically by deoxycytidylic ...

Selective and Precise Editing of Digital Polymers Through Parallel or Series Toehold‐Mediated Strand Displacement

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sequence‐encoded supramolecular construct containing two accessible toeholds is developed herein for enabling multiple editing operations. By introducing specific input strands, it is possible to selectively erase or rewrite digital content through parallel or series toehold‐mediated strand displacement (PTMSD or STMSD).
