Determination of DNA base composition by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography

open access: yes, 1984
DNA base composition was determined by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). DNA was hydrolysed into nucleosides with nuclease P1 and bacterial alkaline phosphatase.

Lipid Peroxidation Process in Meat and Meat Products: A Comparison Study of Malondialdehyde Determination between Modified 2-Thiobarbituric Acid Spectrophotometric Method and Reverse-Phase High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

open access: yesMolecules, 2017
The aim of this work was to compare the methods of malondialdehyde detection, as the main secondary product of the lipid peroxidation process, in meat and meat products.

An ISFET-based anion sensor for the potentiometric detection of organic acids in liquid chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
An ion-selective field effect transistor (ISFET) was applied as a potentiometric detector in liquid chromatography (LC) for the determination of organic acids.

Multidimensional Chromatography and Its Applications in Food Products, Biological Samples and Toxin Products: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesSeparations, 2022
Food, drugs, dyes, extracts, and minerals are all made up of complex elements, and utilizing unidimensional chromatography to separate them is inefficient and insensitive.

Refining the NaV1.7 pharmacophore of a class of venom‐derived peptide inhibitors via a combination of in silico screening and rational engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Venom peptides have shown promise in treating pain. Our study uses computer screening to identify a peptide that targets a sodium channel (NaV1.7) linked to chronic pain. We produced the peptide in the laboratory and refined its design, advancing the search for innovative pain therapies.

Identifying metabolites by integrating metabolome databases with mass spectrometry cheminformatics. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Novel metabolites distinct from canonical pathways can be identified through the integration of three cheminformatics tools: BinVestigate, which queries the BinBase gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) metabolome database to match unknowns with ...

Easy Computation of the Various Topologies and Modes of Liquid–Liquid Partition Chromatography by the Theory of Random Walks

open access: yesSeparations, 2021
The article revisits the discrete recurrence method to model the instruments of liquid–liquid partition chromatography as counter-current chromatography (CCC) and centrifugal partition chromatography (CPC).

Super-resolution imaging reveals resistance to mass transfer in functionalized stationary phases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Chemical separations are costly in terms of energy, time, and money. Separation methods are optimized with inefficient trial-and-error approaches that lack insight into the molecular dynamics that lead to the success or failure of a separation and, hence, ways to improve the process.

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six
