Antifungal activity of a novel chromene dimer [PDF]
The activity on Aspergillus spp. growth and on ochratoxin A production of two novel chromene dimers (3) was evaluated. The results of the bioassays indicate that the chromene dimer 3a inhibited mycelia growth by approximately 50% (EC(50)) at 140.1 micromol L(-1) for A. niger, 384.2 micromol L(-1) for A. carbonarius, 69.1 micromol L(-1) for A. alliaceus

Abstract BACKGROUND Over the past two decades, the global incidence of gout has markedly increased, affecting people worldwide. Considering the side effects of xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor drugs (e.g. allopurinol and febuxostat) used in the treatment of hyperuricemia and gout, the potential application of phytochemicals has been widely studied.

Kaempferol modulates the tryptophan metabolism pathway by increasing the abundances of Christensenellaceae R7 group, Bacteroides, and Blautia and reducing that of Rikenellaceae RC9 gut group, thereby significantly increasing the levels of ILA and IAA. This process inhibits the activation of NF‐κB/NLRP3 signaling pathway, reduces pro‐inflammatory factor

ABSTRACT Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by certain fungi have previously been suggested to modulate plant development and their response to stresses. While some fungal species, such as Trichoderma harzianum, are known to produce VOCs, the production of VOCs in other phylogenetically divergent species, such as Mucor mucedo, was previously ...
