This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

A Rare Case of Chronic Diarrhea in an Elderly Male
Chronic diarrhea is a common condition in older age groups, and many patients do not seek medical attention unless their diarrhea is associated with other symptoms, such as weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding or abdominal pain.

The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

This work presents soft, degradable hydrogel microcarriers that combine magnetic responsiveness with the ability to host multiple therapeutic and cellular components. Produced by droplet microfluidics, the carriers maintain structural integrity during manipulation, permit controlled breakdown under physiological conditions, and enable guided motion for

Engineering CO2 Reduction Pathways via Alloy‐Support Interactions in Li‐CO2 Batteries
Alloy‐support interactions in RuCu/NC induce interfacial charge redistribution and shift d‐band centers, steering CO2 reduction from Li2CO3 to metastable Li2C2O4. This pathway engineering lowers the rate‐determining barrier and suppresses carbonate formation, enabling high discharge voltage (3.23 V) in Li‐CO2 batteries with reduced overpotential (0.50 ...

A hierarchical hydrogel evaporator with a thin, porous photothermal layer of fused core–shell carbon‐polymer nanospheres enables ultrafast interfacial solar evaporation with minimized heat loss and sufficient water supply. Directional advection‐dominated brine transport, coupled with Marangoni‐driven interfacial flow, drives salt away from the active ...

EVALUATING LACTOFERRIN AND CALPROTECTIN AS MARKERS OF INTESTINAL INFLAMMATION INCHRONIC PANCREATITIS [PDF]
Background: The treatment of chronic pancreatitis does not consistently solve intestinal abnormalities, and despite the implementation of various therapeutic measures, patients often continue to experience persistent diarrhea. Therefore, it is imperative
