In collegiate endurance athletes, a 6‐week randomized CPYE intervention yielded time‐ and sex‐dependent shifts in field‐based cardiorespiratory, metabolic, and redox indices, accompanied by changes in gut multi‐omics profiles. An exploratory extension during intensified training generates hypotheses warranting future validation.

Synovial macrophages in osteoarthritis upregulate LSP1, which directly binds and inhibits SOD1, triggering a redox imbalance that activates both NOX and mitochondrial ROS pathways.
