Epigenetic regulation of circ-HIPK3, circ-PVT1, miR-25, and miR-149 in radiosensitivity of breast cancer

open access: yesExperimental and Molecular Pathology, 2023
Assessing the radiosensitivity of cells before administering radiation therapy (RT) to individuals diagnosed with breast cancer (BC) can facilitate the selection of appropriate treatment regimens and minimize the incidence of adverse side effects in ...

The Dynamics of Neptune Trojan: I. the Inclined Orbits

open access: yes, 2009
The stability of Trojan type orbits around Neptune is studied. As the first part of our investigation, we present in this paper a global view of the stability of Trojans on inclined orbits.

Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma Deoxidation of Natively Oxide Layer of Copper Powders in a Fluidized Bed

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.

Probing the isotropy of cosmic acceleration using different supernova samples

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2019
Recent studies indicated that an anisotropic cosmic expansion may exist. In this paper, we use three data sets of type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) to probe the isotropy of cosmic acceleration.

The atomic structure of large-angle grain boundaries $\Sigma 5$ and $\Sigma 13$ in ${\rm YBa_2Cu_3O_{7-\delta}}$ and their transport properties

open access: yes, 2001
We present the results of a computer simulation of the atomic structures of large-angle symmetrical tilt grain boundaries (GBs) $\Sigma 5$ (misorientation angles $\q{36.87}{^{\circ}}$ and $\q{53.13}{^{\circ}}$), $\Sigma 13$ (misorientation angles $\q{22 ...

Impact of Pre‐Oxidation Treatments on a Recycled MgO/Steel‐Composite as Carbon Free Anode in Aluminum‐Electrolysis Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

EBV-miR-BART7-3p Imposes Stemness in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Cells by Suppressing SMAD7

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2019
Cancer stem-like cells, possessing “stemness” properties, play crucial roles in progression, metastasis, and drug resistance in various cancers. Viral microRNAs (such as EBV-miR-BART7-3p), as exogenous regulators, have been discovered to regulate ...

Circular RNA circ-ERBB2 promotes HER2-positive breast cancer progression and metastasis via sponging miR-136-5p and miR-198

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2021
Background Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are pivotal regulators of various human cancers and circ-ERBB2 is abnormally expressed in breast cancer cells. However, the role and mechanism of circ-ERBB2 in HER2-positive breast cancer are still unknown. Methods The

circ-ZEB1 regulates epithelial-mesenchymal transition and chemotherapy resistance of colorectal cancer through acting on miR-200c-5p

open access: yesTranslational Oncology, 2023
Circular RNAs (circRNAs) have been demonstrated to be important regulators in human malignant tumors, including colorectal cancer (CRC). While the role circ-ZEB1 played in CRC remains unclear.

Rafting of Ni‐Based Superalloys Under Multiaxial Load as Understood by Phase‐Field Simulations and Critical Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.
