Construction of Analytical Eigensolutions for Isotropic Conical Bodies and Their Application for Estimation of Stresses Singularity

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2019
A complete set of eigensolutions is constructed for different variants of circular conical bodies: homogeneous cone with one lateral surface (solid cone), homogeneous cone with two lateral surfaces (hollow cone) and composite cone for different variants ...

Minimal velocity surface in the restricted circular Three-Body-Problem

open access: yesVestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Mathematics. Mechanics. Astronomy, 2020
In the framework of the restricted circular Three-Body-Problem, the concept of the minimum velocity surface S is introduced, which is a modification of the zero-velocity surface (Hill surface). The existence of Hill surface requires occurrence of the Jacobi integral. The minimum velocity surface, other than the Jacobi integral, requires conservation of

Bridging the gap: Multi‐stakeholder perspectives of molecular diagnostics in oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Although molecular diagnostics is transforming cancer care, implementing novel technologies remains challenging. This study identifies unmet needs and technology requirements through a two‐step stakeholder involvement. Liquid biopsies for monitoring applications and predictive biomarker testing emerge as key unmet needs. Technology requirements vary by

First Law of Mechanics for Black Hole Binaries with Spins

open access: yes, 2013
We use the canonical Hamiltonian formalism to generalize to spinning point particles the first law of mechanics established for binary systems of non-spinning point masses moving on circular orbits [Le Tiec, Blanchet, and Whiting, Phys. Rev. D 85, 064039

Numerical study of natural and mixed convection in a square cavity filled by a Cu–water nanofluid with circular heating and cooling cylinders

open access: yes, 2017
The present study investigates the role of natural and mixed convection heat transfer of a Cu–water nanofluid in a square cavity with inside circular heating and cooling bodies.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.

Circular chemistry: Adapting linear chemistry to mitigate the climate crisis

open access: yesMètode Science Studies Journal: Annual Review
In this article we explore the imperative shift from a linear economic model to a circular one, with a particular focus on the pivotal role of chemistry in this transition. It elucidates the critical global challenges stemming from unsustainable resource

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Guidance navigation and control for approaching upper-stage rocket body using illumination-robust event camera

open access: yesMechanical Engineering Journal
Active space debris removal is required for upper-stage rocket bodies, and removal satellites need to recognize the circular shape of the upper-stage rocket body as a visual marker and approach it by utilizing on-board visual sensors.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.
