Excitation of a Circular Cylindrical Cavity by a Circular Waveguide
The problem of determining the pressure in a circular cylindrical cavity of radius b connected to a circular input waveguide of radius a is formulated in terms of an integral equation. Values of the reflection coefficient in the guide and of the pressure in the cavity are given in terms of the frequency and of the dimensionless ratio a/b.

Circular waveguide-to-microstrip transitions
A new circular waveguide-to-microstrip transition consisting of a microstrip probe inserted in a circular waveguide has been developed. Experimental results show that the transition has an insertion loss of less than 0.05 dB, and a return loss greater than 20 dB in the frequency range 8.72 – 10.66 GHz.

Exploring the Potential of Microwave Annealing for Enhancing Si‐based GeSn Lasers
We explore low‐thermal‐budget microwave annealing to enhance the performance of group‐IV GeSn lasers on Si. Microwave annealing under optimal conditions can simultaneously relax unwanted compressive strain and enhance the material quality of the GeSn active layer, thereby reducing the threshold and increasing the laser operating temperature.

Circular waveguides with anisotropic walls
First, the wave propagation in circular waveguides with the boundary condition EΦ = HΦ = 0 is investigated, and the use of these guides for producing circularly polarised waves is described. Secondly, a similar investigation is made for corrugated guides. Their propagation characteristics are compared.

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
