Photoelectron Spectroscopy of the Phosphorus Monosulfide (PS) and Phosphorus Monoxide (PO) Radicals

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Sketch of the experiment to measure the photo electron spectrum of the PS radical produced in situ with a mixture of PH3, H2S and F atoms. PO and PS radicals are the smallest units of phosphorus oxides and phosphorus sulfides, respectively, two rich families of refractory compounds widely employed in industrial and technological applications. These two

Physical Conditions in Circumstellar Gas Surrounding SN 1987A 12 Years after Outburst [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Two-dimensional spectra of SN 1987A were obtained on 1998 November 14-15 (4282 days after outburst) with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) on board the Hubble Space Telescope (HST).

Rapid CO gas dispersal from NO Lup’s class III circumstellar disc

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society: Letters, 2020
ABSTRACT We observed the K7 class III star NO Lup in an ALMA survey of the 1–3 Myr Lupus association and detected circumstellar dust and CO gas. Here we show that the J = 3–2 CO emission is both spectrally and spatially resolved, with a broad velocity width ∼19 km s−1 for its resolved size ∼1 arcsec (∼130 au).

Satellites and Small Bodies With ALMA: Insights Into Solar System Formation and Evolution

open access: yesAGU Advances, Volume 6, Issue 6, December 2025.
Abstract Our understanding of the formation and evolution of planetary systems has made major advances in the past decade. This progress has been driven in large part by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), which has given us an unprecedented view of solar system bodies themselves, and of the structure and chemistry of forming ...

Formation Process of the Circumstellar Disk: Long-term Simulations in the Main Accretion Phase of Star Formation

open access: yes, 2010
The formation and evolution of the circumstellar disk in unmagnetized molecular clouds is investigated using three-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations from the prestellar core until the end of the main accretion phase.

Vertical Structure of Gas and Dust in Four Debris Disks

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present high-spectral-resolution M -band spectra from iSHELL on NASA’s Infrared Telescope Facility along the line of sight to the debris disk host star HD 32297. We also present a Gemini Planet Imager H -band polarimetric image of the HD 131488 debris

JWST Imaging of the Closest Globular Clusters—VI. The Lowest‐Mass Objects in M 4 and the Galactic Bulge

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 346, Issue 9, November 2025.
ABSTRACT We present James Webb Space Telescope observations of M 4—the closest globular cluster—that probe the lower Main Sequence down to the hydrogen‐burning limit. The unveiled stellar sequence reaches much fainter luminosities than previously possible, revealing a few extremely red objects that are consistent with brown dwarfs as cool as Teff∼1000K$

HD101584: Circumstellar characteristics and evolutionary status

open access: yes, 2019
We have performed a study of the characteristics of the circumstellar environment of the binary object HD101584, that provides information on a likely evolutionary scenario.

Near-infrared Integral-field Spectroscopy of the Wind Forming Region of CW Leo

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
The circumstellar envelope of the carbon star CW Leo exhibited various unexpected changes in recent optical imaging observations. We have performed a follow-up observation using the Near-infrared Integral-Field Spectrograph (NIFS) equipped on the Gemini ...

H2 and CO Emission from Disks around T Tauri and Herbig Ae Pre-Main-Sequence Stars and from Debris Disks around Young Stars: Warm and Cold Circumstellar Gas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We present ISO Short-Wavelength Spectrometer observations of H2 pure-rotational line emission from the disks around low- and intermediate-mass pre-main-sequence stars as well as from young stars thought to be surrounded by debris disks.
