Learning Strategies from Nature's Blueprint to Cyclic Carbonate Synthesis

open access: yesChemSusChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
The development of sustainable synthetic methods for cyclic carbonates draws inspiration from nature, focusing on eco‐friendly processes and renewable resources like CO2 and biomass. This review explore various CO2 activation mechanisms, green chemistry principles, and green catalysts.

Changes in free polyamines and expression of polyamine metabolic genes under drought and high-temperature in Citrus sinensis

open access: yesBiologia Plantarum, 2016
Polyamines play important roles in plant responses to various environmental stresses. In this study, changes in free polyamine content and transcription of genes participating in polyamine metabolism were investigated in sweet orange (Citrus sinensis ...

Sprayable Polyolefin Sorbents Enabled by Bio‐Solvents for Large‐Scale Oil and Chemical Spill Recovery

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A sprayable POE‐based sorbent formulated with a green solvent blend of α‐pinene, D‐limonene, and p‐cymene enables rapid in situ film formation via solvent evaporation, allowing efficient pollutant capture. The system exhibits high oil uptake (37.3 g g−1) and effectively removes up to 60 mL of VLSFO under simulated marine spill conditions.

Proteomic and metabolomic analyses provide insight into the off-flavour of fruits from citrus trees infected with ‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’

open access: yesHorticulture Research, 2019
Pathogenic profiling: why fruit from bacteria-infected trees tastes bad The bacteria Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CaLas) causes orange trees to produce poor-tasting fruit thanks to the decreased production of flavour-enhancing proteins, sugars, and

Systematic statistical analysis of change in SEIzure interVAL with diazepam nasal spray supports this novel clinical endpoint for immediate‐use seizure medication

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Appropriate endpoints for daily antiseizure medications may differ from those for intermittent, immediate‐use seizure medications (ISMs). The observed interval between seizure clusters over time (SEIzure interVAL [SEIVAL]) has been proposed as a novel effectiveness endpoint for ISMs.

Increased interval between seizure clusters across time in pediatric patients treated with the immediate‐use seizure medication diazepam nasal spray

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Seizure clusters, intermittent increases in seizure activity that differ from a patient's usual seizure pattern, may occur despite treatment with a daily anti‐seizure medication. Benzodiazepine‐containing immediate‐use seizure medications (ISMs; also called rescue therapies) are the cornerstone of treatment for seizure clusters ...

Composition of the volatile oils of the Citrus bigaradia, Citrus limon and Citrus deliciosa

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Plants, 2004
Composition of the volatile oils of the C.bigaradia, C.limon and C.delicosa have been investigated. The plant materials (leaves) were collected in spring 2000 from Corta (The medicinal plants garden) near Tonecabon, North of Iran. The oils were collected by means of hydrodistilation procedure. The yields were 1.4% v/w, 1.1 % v/w and 1% v/w respectively.
