In Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology - Plant, 2019
Among citrus fruits, Citrus × latifolia (Yu. Tanaka) Yu. Tanaka stands out given its diverse uses, and there is a great demand for plants of high phytosanitary and genetic quality. In the present study, the in vitro micropropagation process of C. latifolia was studied in RITA®-type bioreactor, semisolid medium, and partial immersion with liquid culture

The high quality cold storage life of lime (Citrus latifolia Tanaka) fruit can be restricted by a number of factors including chilling injury, degreening and rots. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of various postharvest treatments on quality changes in main- and late-season New Zealand lime fruit. Controlled atmosphere storage

Previously Unreported Sesquiterpenes of Lime Oil (Citrus LatifoliaTanaka)
Journal of Essential Oil Research, 1990ABSTRACT The volatile components of lime juice oil and lime peel oil were analysed by capillary gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. α-Santalene and β-santalene were found in lime juice oil, while β-santalene and β-santalol were found in lime peel oil.

Mutual adulterations of lemon and lime juices may be detected using coumarins and psoralens as markers. Poor manufacturing practices or legal but mechanically intense processing of lemons were recently suspected to lead to false accusations of deliberate adulterations with lime juices due to potentially unspecific markers.

Measurements of net radiation absorbed by isolated acid lime trees (Citrus latifoliaTanaka)
The Journal of Horticultural Science and Biotechnology, 2004SummaryBy using net radiometers mounted on a circular frame rotating around the canopy, measurements of total all-wave radiation absorbed by two ‘Tahiti’ acid lime trees were carried out in an orchard in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. The rotating system around the canopy of a tree was formerly idealized and used in New Zealand, allowing ...

Abstract Commercial distilled oils produced from Citrus aurantifolia Swingle and Citrus latifolia Tanaka were analyzed by GC/MS. The oils shows remarkable differences, large engough to explain those found in odor and flavor. In both oils, limonene (40.4% and 55.6%), γ-terpinene (9.5% and 11.8%), terpinolene (8.7% and 5.2%) and α-terpineol (12.7% and 6 ...
