The content of exchangeable pottasium (K) in soil is a widespread international parameter of the K-status of a soil. The use of this parameter in Egypt suggests that alluvial soils are extremely rich in K, and that sandy and calcareous soils are low in this nutrient.

GOLD RECOVERY USING CITRUS SINENSIS PEELS AS BIO-ADSORBENT

Journal of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering
The recovery of gold from electronic waste using locally available and environmentally friendly materials were investigated. Bio-adsorbent for gold recovery was prepared from Citrus sinensis peels through mechanical processing and chemical modification. Some ceramic computer processor units were leached using aqua-regia as lixiviant.
