A Complete Formulation of Baum-Conens' Conjecture for the Action of Discrete Quantum Groups

open access: yes, 2003
We formulate a version of Baum-Connes' conjecture for a discrete quantum group, building on our earlier work (\cite{GK}). Given such a quantum group $\cla$, we construct a directed family $\{\cle_F \}$ of $C^*$-algebras ($F$ varying over some suitable ...

Global Factors in Noncore Bank Funding and Exchange Rate Flexibility

open access: yesJournal of Money, Credit and Banking, EarlyView.
Abstract We show that fluctuations in the ratio of noncore to core funding in the banking systems of advanced economies are largely driven by three global factors of both real and financial natures, with country‐specific factors playing only a minor role. Exchange rate flexibility helps insulate the noncore to core ratio from such global factors.

Transforming Management Education: Insights from Social‐Ecological Systems and Social Innovation Research

open access: yesJournal of Management Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract It is clear that contemporary management education (ME) needs to be transformed to tackle complex social‐ecological crises effectively. However, the concept of transformation is often ill‐defined in the context of ME; while there is also a lack of understanding about what concrete transformation trajectories (also called scaling pathways) are ...

The use of thermal imaging to assess heat generation during dental implant bed preparation in the presence of a surgical guide with an incorporated coolant channel

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study evaluates the thermodynamic benefits of including an irrigation fluid channel in the design of surgical guides used for dental implant site drilling. Materials and Methods Two types of guides suitable for hosting artificial bone plates that mimic the mechanical properties of human alveolar bone were designed: a classical ...
