Calcium salts of CLA improve availability of dietary CLA
Livestock Science, 2009Abstract Six sheep, fitted with ruminal and duodenal cannulae, were assigned by weight to two replications of a 3 × 3 Latin square design to compare the effects of dietary sources of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) on availability of CLA and other long-chain fatty acids for absorption from the intestine. The control diet contained 45% alfalfa hay, 50%

Might analysis, synthesis and metabolism of CLA contribute to explain the biological effects of CLA?
European journal of medical research, 2002Conjugated Linoleic Acids (CLA) are of great interest for analysts since techniques have been developed to determine the dietary occurrence of CLA with a good accuracy. CLA is found in animal products from ruminant sources as the result of biohydrogenation of polyunsaturated fatty acids in the rumen and as the consequence of the delta-9 desaturation of

Silkworms with conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) incorporated into their lipids (designated CLA silkworms) were produced to enhance the quality of silkworms having a synergistic effect with CLA functions by dietary synthetic CLA. Silkworm larvae were fed fresh mulberry leaves (control diet) until the third instar stage and were then subjected to various ...

Standard CLA-EC which is introduced recently is an evolutionary computing model obtained by combining cellular learning automata (CLA) model and evolutionary computing (EC) model. Some drawbacks of this model are low convergence speed and low accuracy for some optimization problems. In this paper a new version of CLA-EC called Continuous Action Set CLA-

We report on hadron spectroscopy using the CLAS at Jefferson Lab. We present preliminary results from photoproduction experiments studying the spectroscopy of exotic mesons, cascades (Ξ's) and Dalitz decays of pseudo-scalar mesons in the largest data sample ever to be produced at photon energies of about 5 GeV.

Abstract The design, construction, and performance of the CLAS Cherenkov threshold gas detector at Jefferson Lab is described. The detector consists of 216 optical modules. Each module consists of three adjustable mirrors of lightweight composite construction, a Winston light collecting cone, a 5-in.
