Wireless Drone Charging Station Using Class-E Power Amplifier in Vertical Alignment and Lateral Misalignment Conditions

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Recent major advancements in drone charging station design are related to the differences in coil design between the material (copper or aluminum) and inner thickness (diameter design) to address power transfer optimization and increased efficiency.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Class E amplifiers and their modulation behaviour [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
oai:etheses.bham.ac.uk:3The Class E power amplifier has very high drain efficiency under quasi-static conditions, and is a good candidate for Envelope Elimination and Restoration (EER) or other polar techniques.

Impedance Matching Method for 6.78 MHz Class-E2-Based WPT System

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
The performance of a conventional Class-E2-based WPT system is sensitive to system parameters such as the coil coupling coefficient and load variation.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Modular ON/OFF and Phase-Shifting for High-Speed Radio Frequency Power Modulation

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics, 2020
Radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers are an integral part of many academic, medical, and industrial applications. For many of these applications, the RF power needs to quickly transition from one level to another.

A 2.4 GHz Differential Class-E power Amplifier with on-chip Transformers for Bluetooth systems [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering and Technology Journal, 2014
This work presents the design and simulation of a differential class-E Power Amplifier (PA) for class-1 Bluetooth systems in 0.13 μm RF CMOS technology. The proposed PA can deliver 21.57 dBm output power to a 50 Ω load at 2.4 GHz with 65.59 % Power-Added-

Design of a differential power oscillator for 433 MHz WPT using e-GaN HEMTs

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2022
This paper presents a new differential power oscillator design based on a differential class-E power amplifier. The designs use high power enhancement-GaN HEMT (e-GaN) for its fast switching time, low ON resistance and wide energy band gap properties ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
