[Phosphoproteomic investigation of Clostridium acetobutylicum].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2012
Protein phosphorylation in bacteria is important for signaling and metabolic activity. Clostridium acetobutyicum can synthesize high yield of organic solvent under acidic condition. How solventogenesis is regulated at molecular level in this bacterium, is not clearly elucidated yet.

Microbiological production of acetone-butanol by Clostridium acetobutylicum

Zentralblatt für Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene. Zweite Naturwissenschaftliche Abteilung: Mikrobiologie der Landwirtschaft, der Technologie und des Umweltschutzes, 1978
Trials succeeded in raising the efficiencies of the fermentation medium, used in the fermentative production of acetone-butanol by Clostridium acetobutylicum. Egyptian black strap molasses (50.0% sugars) was suitable as carbon source in the fermentation medium, and (NH4)2SO4 was utilized with great success as inorganic nitrogen source.

Pervaporative butanol fermentation by Clostridium acetobutylicum B18

Biotechnology and Bioengineering, 1994
AbstractExtractive acetone‐butanol–ethanol (ABE) fermentation was carried out successfully using pervaporation and a low‐acid‐producing Clostridium acetobutylicum B18. A pervaporation module with 0.17 m2 of surface area was made of silicone membrane of 240 μm thickness.

Production of Biobutanol by Clostridium Acetobutylicum

2009
The socio-economic scenario of the third millennium revives the interest in production of biofuel for transport purposes by fermentation processes and the butanol appears to be a promising candidate. Present contribution reports about results of a research activity aiming at investigating the feasibility of the acetone-butanol-ethanol (ABE) production ...

Vectors for Use in Clostridium acetobutylicum

1993
In the last two decades, interest in using surplus/waste biomass in biocatalytic processes to produce chemicals and fuels of high added value, as an alternative to chemical synthesis from petroleum feedstocks, has exhibited considerable fluctuation. The underlying argument for such developments seems irrefutable. Fossil fuels are a finite resource.

[Genetic modification systems for Clostridium acetobutylicum].

Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2012
Clostridium acetobutylicum, a biofuel-butanol producer, has attracted worldwide interests. Strain improvement is important for the process of biobutanol industrialization where efficient genetic modification systems are essential. In this review, the history of genetic modification systems of C.
