Hematological and Genotoxic Effects of Subchronic Oral Exposure to a Mancozeb‐Based Fungicide in Female Mice

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The extensive use of pesticides in modern agriculture has raised increasing concerns regarding the potential biological effects of repeated exposure to pesticide residues and commercial formulations. Mancozeb is a widely used ethylene‐bis‐dithiocarbamate fungicide; however, information on its hematological and genotoxic effects following ...

Low‐Dose Chlorothalonil Induces Testicular Injury Through Disruption of Steroidogenic Signaling in Adult Male Mice

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chlorothalonil (CHL) is a widely used organochlorine fungicide frequently detected in environmental and food matrices. Although increasing evidence indicates adverse effects in nontarget species, the mechanisms underlying CHL‐induced male reproductive toxicity remain incompletely understood.

Optimization of Reflex Testing Rules on the Sysmex XN‐9100 Automated Hematology Line Improves Efficiency and Reduces Repeat Testing in Different Work Areas

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This graphical abstract summarizes a workflow‐based Reflex rule optimization for the Sysmex XN‐9100 automated hematology line. A total of 78,364 routine complete blood count samples were analyzed by middleware simulation. The optimized strategy differentiated initial from follow‐up visit samples, incorporated 7‐day historical fluctuation thresholds ...

Development and Analytical Validation of a Laboratory‐Customized TaqMan‐MGB Probe Method for CYP2C19 Genotyping

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
A laboratory‐customized, open‐sequence TaqMan‐MGB probe assay was developed for detecting CYP2C19*2 and CYP2C19*17 polymorphisms using dried blood spot‐derived DNA. The assay demonstrated allele‐specific discrimination, candidate LODs of 1.17 × 102 copies/μL for CYP2C19*2 and 0.94 × 103 copies/μL for CYP2C19*17, and repeatability with CVs below 10%. In

Optimizing Laboratory Autoverification in Complete Blood Count Testing Using Machine Learning: A Performance Evaluation Study

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Laboratory Analysis, EarlyView.
This cross‐sectional study evaluated the feasibility of applying machine learning for complete blood count autoverification. Among 63,201 CBC results, the XGBoost model achieved higher sensitivity and predictive values compared with the traditional rule‐based system. ABSTRACT Background Autoverification improves laboratory efficiency by reducing manual
