Preparation and activity of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na) and Metarhizium rileyi ZHKUMR1 composite membrane

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2023
Improving the adhesion capability of Metarhizium rileyi ZHKUMR1 on leaves enabled by the combination with Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMCNa) materials is feasible to improve the utilization rate of Metarhizium rileyi. Herein, the CMC-Na-ZHKUMR1 membrane was prepared by simply mixing Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMCNa) with Metarhizium rileyi.

Prenatal exposure to corn oil, CMC-Na or DMSO affects physical development and multi-organ functions in fetal mice

Reproductive Toxicology, 2023
Corn oil, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na), and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) are widely used as solvents or suspensions in animal experiments, but the effects of prenatal exposure to them on fetal development have not been reported. In this study, Kunming mice were given a conventional dose of corn oil (9.2 g/kg·d), CMC-Na (0.05 g/kg·d) or DMSO (0 ...

Radiation crosslinking of CMC-Na at low dose and its application as substitute for hydrogel

Radiation Physics and Chemistry, 2005
Abstract The slight radiation-crosslinked CMC-Na as a substitute for hydrogel was prepared by gamma irradiation below gelation dose. The effects of various parameters such as absorbed dose, concentration of inorganic salts, pH, swelling temperature and swelling time on the swelling ratio in water were investigated in detail.
