Transistors for Solid-State Microwave Switches (A Review)
Introduction. The characteristics of solid-state microwave switches are subject to different requirements depending on the application area and technical problems to be solved. No versatile solution exists that could satisfy all requirements at once. The

The orbital‐current‐induced torque is investigated as an efficient method for controlling magnetization direction. By introducing Ti as an orbital current source in Ti/Ta (or Pt)/CoFeB/MgO structures, the switching current is reduced by ∼25% compared to a conventional spin‐orbit torque structure of Ta/CoFeB/MgO.

Radiation-hard active pixel sensors for HL-LHC detector upgrades based on HV-CMOS technology [PDF]
Luminosity upgrades are discussed for the LHC (HL-LHC) which would make updates to the detectors necessary, requiring in particular new, even more radiation-hard and granular, sensors for the inner detector region.

A Novel Approach to Implementing Artificial Thalamic Neurons with Ferroelectric Transistors
Artificial neurons created using CMOS technology often require a large number of transistors and capacitors. This study introduces an artificial thalamic neuron that employs only five CMOS compatible ferroelectric transistors. The manufactured thalamic neuron demonstrates leaky integrate‐and‐fire‐or‐burst (LIFB) functionalities, featuring self ...

Design of an integrated circuit with buried double junction photodiodes for optical immunoassays
Optical immunoassays require measurement systems capable of distinguishing the light from the laser source, used to illuminate the assay, from the light generated by the particles contained within the assay itself (fluorescence).

Image sensor array based on graphene-CMOS integration [PDF]
Integrated circuits based on CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductors) are at the heart of the technological revolution of the past 40 years, as these have enabled compact and low cost micro-electronic circuits and imaging systems. However, the diversification of this platform into applications other than microcircuits and visible light cameras ...

This research investigates an electro‐active chiral optical response (EACOR)‐driven dual‐channel metasurfaces with fast electrical switching rates of 52 ms, and a low operating voltage of 0.5 V. The combination of polyaniline (PANI) thin film and the exceptional topological (ET) phase of chiral gold (Au) meta‐atoms modulate holographic images through ...
