Analog CMOS integrated circuit design: research and undergraduate teaching

IEEE Transactions on Education, 1989
The authors describe the use of software that was developed as part of a research program in analog CMOS integrated circuit design for an undergraduate course on analog VLSI design. The software includes some unusual uses of readily available, inexpensive, and easy-to-use programs available for microcomputers such as Macintosh or IBM-PC clones ...

A fixed transconductance bias technique for CMOS analog integrated circuits

2004 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37512), 2004
A fixed transconductance bias circuit technique is proposed. This circuit forces the transconductance of a MOSFET operating in saturation to track the conductance of a precise off-chip resistor. Unlike its predecessors, the operation of this circuit does not depend on the square law of the MOSFET, and its performance does not degrade with variations in

STAIC: a synthesis tool for CMOS and BiCMOS analog integrated circuits

1991 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 1991
STAIC is an interactive design tool that synthesizes CMOS and BiCMOS analog integrated circuits which conform to specified performance constraints. STAIC features an input modeling language for entering hierarchical circuit descriptions and a symbolic/numeric solver unit for dynamic integration of analytical model equations across hierarchical ...

A Study On Circuit Design Of Integrated Cmos Analog Matched Filter

Proceedings of the International Conference Mixed Design of Integrated Circuits and System, 2006. MIXDES 2006., 2006
In spread spectrum communication receivers a matched filter can be used as the correlator for acquisition and tracking of synchronization. For a mobile communication terminals large power consumption of the matched filter is serious problem because total power consumption is limited.

Integrated Digital and Analog Circuit Blocks in a Scalable Silicon Carbide CMOS Technology

IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 2022
The wide bandgap of silicon carbide (SiC) has attracted a large interest over the past years in many research fields, such as power electronics, high operation temperature circuits, harsh environmental sensing, and more. To facilitate research on complex integrated SiC circuits, ensure reproducibility, and cut down cost, the availability of a low ...

CMOS analog integrated circuit for fuzzy c-means clustering

Proceedings of the 5th Biannual World Automation Congress, 2003
At present, neurofuzzy techniques are attractive to approximate pattern recognition solutions when they are implemented as parallel systems with adaptive capability. in particular, the clustering of data groups and their recognition by the fuzzy c-means approach is very efficient in this type of systems.

Design for testability in nano-CMOS analog integrated circuits using a new design analog checker

2011 International SoC Design Conference, 2011
In this paper, we focus on safety-critical applications based on the System-on-Chip (SoC) approach design and using the nano-CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) technology. These systems are present in diverse areas in our life from consumer electronic products to automobile, aerospace, medical, nuclear and military applications.

Dynamic compression for sampled-data signals in analog integrated CMOS circuits

Proceedings of 1997 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Circuits and Systems in the Information Age ISCAS '97, 2002
A novel integrated CMOS circuit for signal compression of analog sampled-data signals is presented. It provides charge readout and amplification featuring very high dynamic range, which is useful in applications of capacitive detector arrays or capacitive sensors. The output voltage is proportional to the square-root of the input signal.

Bendable CMOS Digital and Analog Circuits Monolithically Integrated with a Temperature Sensor

Advanced Materials Technologies, 2016
Flexible electronics is now one of key technologies for electronic devices that collect information from nonplanar surfaces, ultimately enabling the realization of the trillion sensor concept and the internet of things. Both flexible discrete devices and sensors are required for integration of digital and analog circuits for signal processing.
