Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Performance Study of the CMS Barrel Resistive Plate Chambers with Cosmic Rays

open access: yes, 2010
In October and November 2008, the CMS collaboration conducted a programme of cosmic ray data taking, which has recorded about 270 million events. The Resistive Plate Chamber system, which is part of the CMS muon detection system, was successfully ...

Comparative effectiveness of porcine placental extracellular matrix against other cellular, acellular and matrix-like products in diabetic foot ulcers from the Medicare database

open access: yesJournal of Comparative Effectiveness Research
Aim: Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are often hard to heal and may require advanced treatment with cellular, acellular and matrix-like products (CAMPs). This retrospective cohort study examines the Medicare feefor- service population to compare clinical ...

Compressible Navier-Stokes Equations in Cylindrical Passages and General Dynamics of Surfaces—(I)-Flow Structures and (II)-Analyzing Biomembranes under Static and Dynamic Conditions

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
A new approach to solve the compressible Navier-Stokes equations in cylindrical co-ordinates using Geometric Algebra is proposed. This work was recently initiated by corresponding author of this current work, and in contrast due to a now complete ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
