Quarkonium Production Studies in CMS
When the LHC starts its operation, CMS will have a unique opportunity to study q uarkonium production in pp collisions and later in PbPb collisions. Here we report on the methods and plans for measuring the differential pT Jpsi->mu+mu- production cross ...

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

Preparation of Carbon Molecular Sieves from Pistachio Shell and Walnut Shell for Kinetic Separation of Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen, and Methane [PDF]
In this study, two Carbon Molecular Sieves using Pistachio shell (CMS P) and Walnut shell (CMS W) were prepared by a chemical vapor deposition method and used for pressure swing adsorption and separation of CO/H2 and CO/CH4. Adsorption isotherms of gases

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...

Discovery and Targeted Proteomic Studies Reveal Striatal Markers Validated for Huntington's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective Clinical trials for Huntington's disease (HD) enrolling persons before clinical motor diagnosis (CMD) lack validated biomarkers. This study aimed to conduct an unbiased discovery analysis and a targeted examination of proteomic biomarkers scrutinized by clinical validation. Methods Cerebrospinal fluid was obtained from PREDICT‐HD and
