Texture Analysis Using Indocyanine Green Fluorescence Measurement During Porcine Hypothermic Oxygenated Machine Perfusion

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
A novel quantitative method using Indocyanine Green (ICG) fluorescence image for assessing organ viability during hypothermic oxygenated machine perfusion (HOPE), specifically focusing on homogeneous flow distribution analyzed with the gray‐scale level co‐occurrence matrix (GLCM) method, can predict portal vein resistance induced by ischemic ...

Modern pollen rain of an upland area: implications of pollen dispersal for interpreting palaeoenvironmental records

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
A long‐term perspective on landscape evolution is critical for understanding past land‐use activity, land cover–climate feedbacks and, notably, for establishing a factual basis for conservation. Fossil pollen analysis provides a means to achieve this. Biases pertaining to pollen productivity, pollination processes and basin size, however, mean there is

First Record of Arrhenophagus chionaspidis Aurivillius (Hymenoptera: Encyrtidae) Parasitizing White Mango Scale in Kenya: Its Potential Distribution and Prospects in Biocontrol

open access: yesJournal of Applied Entomology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The white mango scale, Aulacaspis tubercularis Newstead (Hemiptera: Diaspididae), is one of the most destructive pests of mango worldwide. Its current management in most of the invaded areas largely depends on the intensive use of chemical insecticides.

Record Dissymmetry in Vibrational Optical Activity: Combining Vibronic Coupling and Aggregation in Cobalt(II) Camphorate Complexes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 42, 12 October 2026.
The cobalt(II) bis(trifluoroacetylcamphorate) scaffold exhibits versatile coordination chemistry with solvent‐driven ligand exchange and geometrical rearrangements, associated with unique chiroptical properties. Microcrystalline suspension of [Co(tfc)2(CH3CN)2] revealed the largest VCD dissymmetry factor ever reported (g ≈ 0.2 at 1600 cm−1), arising ...

Design and optimisation of rapid real‐time PCR assays for the detection of key Culicoides species

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, EarlyView.
Species‐specific real‐time PCR assays were designed and optimised using primer/probe sets targeting C. obsoletus, C. scoticus, C. chiopterus, C. dewulfi, C. pulicaris, C. punctatus and C. impunctatus. Primer specificity and amplification efficiency were validated through in silico specificity analysis and real‐time PCR amplification profiling.

Unrecognized Ant Megadiversity in the Australian Monsoonal Tropics: The Monomorium nigrius Forel Group Revisited

open access: yesDiversity
A previous analysis of diversity within the Monomorium nigrius Forel group, formally recognized as a single species, concluded that >200 species may occur in the Australian monsoonal tropics (AMT).

Early development of anoxia prior to the main euxinic phase of the Jenkyns Event on the margin of the Western Tethys (Sachrang Basin, Eastern Alps)

open access: yesSedimentology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although the global expansion of oxygen‐depleted marine environments during the Early Toarcian Jenkyns Event (or Toarcian Oceanic Anoxic Event) is primarily inferred from successions in the NW European epicontinental basins, the timing of the expansion of anoxia in Tethyan basins, where hydrography potentially played a minor role, is poorly ...
