Uniqueness of mass-conserving self-similar solutions to Smoluchowski's coagulation equation with inverse power law kernels [PDF]
Uniqueness of mass-conserving self-similar solutions to Smoluchowski's coagulation equation is shown when the coagulation kernel $K$ is given by $K(x,x\_*)=2(x x\_*)^{-\alpha}$, $(x,x\_*)\in (0,\infty)^2$, for some $\alpha>0$.

Polar Pore Surface of Polyamide Membranes Enabling Efficient Solvent Mixture Separation
A polyamide membrane with polar pore surfaces and relatively large pore is fabricated through interfacial polymerization between polyethyleneimine and trimesoyl chloride. Rapid separation of solvents with polarity differences is achieved by the synergistic effects of pore polarity and size sieving.

Designing of Self‐Dispersing Soft Dendritic Microcleaners for Microplastics Capture and Recovery
The capture and recovery of microplastics from open aquatic systems is a complex problem, which necessitates nontrivial solutions. The principles of a comprehensive multistage process based on sustainably sourced microcleaners with hierarchical morphology are demonstrated.

The coagulation system in host defense
The blood coagulation system and immune system of higher organisms are thought to have a common ancestral origin. During infections, the blood coagulation system is activated and components of the hemostatic system are directly involved in the immune ...

Graphene‐based materials are attracting considerable interest for biomedical applications. Analysis of their biocompatibility is required before their clinical translation, and swine represents an excellent close‐to‐human model. This study evaluates the toxicological and immunological impact of pristine graphene and graphene oxide through a compendium ...

Gelation in coagulation and multiple fragmentation equation with a class of singular rates [PDF]
In this paper, a partial integro-differential equation modeling of coagulation and multiple fragmentation events is studied. Our purpose is to investigate the global existence of gelling weak solutions to the continuous coagulation and multiple fragmentation equation for a certain class of coagulation rate, linear selection rate and breakage function ...

FXa‐Responsive Hydrogels to Craft Corneal Endothelial Lamellae
This study introduces a sacrificial, multicomponent biohybrid hydrogel system enabling stable scaffold‐free tissue engineering. Its efficacy is demonstrated through the ex vivo development, detachment, and transplantation of human corneal endothelial lamellae, achieving clinically relevant sizes for Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty.
