Catalytic coagulation

open access: yesPhysical Review E
We introduce an autocatalytic aggregation model in which the rate at which two clusters merge to form a cluster is controlled by the presence of a third "catalytic" cluster whose mass must equal to the mass of one of the reaction partners. The catalyst is unaffected by the joining event and is available to either participate in or catalyze subsequent ...

Unleashing the Power of Multiomics: Unraveling the Molecular Landscape of Peripheral Neuropathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Peripheral neuropathies (PNs) affect over 20 million individuals in the United States, manifesting as a wide range of sensory, motor, and autonomic nerve symptoms. While various conditions such as diabetes, metabolic disorders, trauma, autoimmune disease, and chemotherapy‐induced neurotoxicity have been linked to PN, approximately one‐third of

The Central Limit Theorem for the Smoluchovski Coagulation Model [PDF]

open access: yesProbability Theory Related Fields 146: 1 (2010), 87-153, 2007
The general model of coagulation is considered. For basic classes of unbounded coagulation kernels the central limit theorem (CLT) is obtained for the fluctuations around the dynamic law of large numbers (LLN). A rather precise rate of convergence is given both for LLN and CLT.

Evaluation of blood coagulation by optical vortex tracking [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We investigated a new optical approach for the detection of the coagulation dynamic process by means of the information on the optical vortex. In our study, laser speckle was captured using a high-speed CMOS camera, and the statistical information of the optical vortex characterized the change in coagulation properties with time.

RhoA and Rac1 as Mechanotransduction Mediators in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Analysing RhoA and Rac1 protein levels in Colorectal cancer (CRC) samples under mechanical strain highlights their potential as diagnostic markers. Monitoring their activity could offer valuable insights into how cancer spreads, paving the way for new approaches to better understand and diagnose colorectal cancer.
