Nucleosynthesis of Nickel-56 from Gamma-Ray Burst Accretion Disks
We examine the prospects for producing Nickel-56 from black hole accretion disks, by examining a range of steady state disk models. We focus on relatively slowly accreting disks in the range of 0.05 - 1 solar masses per second, as are thought to be ...

ABSTRACT Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) has a high phosphorus (P) requirement, yet its shallow root system and the strong P‐fixing capacity of many soils limit the effectiveness of soil fertilisation. Foliar application of nano‐hydroxyapatite particles (nHAPs) has emerged as a promising alternative P fertilisation practice.

Mass measurements in the vicinity of the doubly-magic waiting point 56Ni
Masses of 56,57Fe, 53Co^m, 53,56Co, 55,56,57Ni, 57,58Cu, and 59,60Zn have been determined with the JYFLTRAP Penning trap mass spectrometer at IGISOL with a precision of dm/m \le 3 x 10^{-8}.

δ13C and δ15N Values of Residues Provide Insights Into Identification of the Explosive Source
ABSTRACT Rationale Postblast analyses of military and terrorist events will benefit from the capacity to learn more about the explosive materials used in an event. Here stable isotope ratio analyses (δ13C, δ15N) can provide additional information to complement identification of the explosive components.

Spectra of supernovae in the nebular phase
When supernovae enter the nebular phase after a few months, they reveal spectral fingerprints of their deep interiors, glowing by radioactivity produced in the explosion.

ABSTRACT Metal‐doped carbon‐based nanomaterials (M‐CNM) play a strategically significant role in next‐generation precision antibacterial and antitumor therapies, as they integrate synergistic photothermal ablation, catalytic reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, and multimodal imaging capabilities. However, their clinical translation is hindered by

By exploiting the structural benefits of PHI, we synthesized CoPHI with atomically dispersed cobalt sites at high density. This architecture enables efficient nitrate ion adsorption, promotes water dissociation, and enhances *H generation on the catalyst surface, thereby significantly improving electrochemical nitrate reduction performance.

Portable X‐Ray Fluorescence in the Assessment of Zinc Along Grizzly Bear Hair
ABSTRACT As a biomarker of past uptake of zinc, hair presents an interesting option since its growth can provide a stored record over time. This study investigates the distribution of zinc in hairs gathered from a series of grizzly bears ( Ursus arctos horribilis ).

Rinorea cf. bengalensis is a tropical nickel hyperaccumulator plant that can be dominant in forests locally. We investigated the partitioning of major and trace elements in a stand of R. cf. bengalensis in Borneo. Hyperaccumulators have a large impact on the cycling of Ni and other elements in their ecosystem. ABSTRACT Rinorea cf.

Emerging Technologies for Biobutanol Production via Syngas Fermentation
Biobutanol production from syngas is promising but limited by microbial energy conservation and gas–liquid mass transfer. This review integrates advances in cultivation control and bioreactor engineering with next‐generation biological tools including metabolic rewiring, co‐cultivation and chain elongation, and electro‐fermentation to enable carbon ...
