THE NEW RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPES VANADIUM 46, MANGANESE 50, COBALT 54

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1952
Three new positron activities assigned to V46 (0.40 sec.; Emax > 6.0 Mev.). Mn50 (0.28 sec.; Emax > 6.3 Mev.), and Co54 (0.18 sec.; Emax > 7.4 Mev.) have been induced by (p,n) reactions which take place in the McGill cyclotron at thresholds less than 12.5 Mev. The assignments are based on the thresholds and on the approximate ft values of the

Sulphur-isotope geochemistry of silver–selpnarsenide vein mineralization, Cobalt, Ontario

Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, 1986
The silver–sulpharsenide vein deposits of Cobalt, Ontario, crosscut basement Archean metavolcanic rocks, Proterozoic strata, and younger Proterozoic diabase sills. A petrographic and sulphur-isotope study of the metallic minerals was initiated to assess possible genetic models of vein formation.

Lead-isotope study of mineralization in the Cobalt district, Ontario

Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, 1986
Twenty-seven lead-isotope analyses for galena specimens from 14 localities in the Cobalt district represent sulphide-rich interflow sedimentary units in the Archean volcanic sequence, mineralized zones, fracture fillings, and local sulphide concentrations in the Cobalt Group (Proterozoic) sedimentary rocks, and vein-filling and breccia-cementing ...

Determination of Small Amounts of Cobalt by Isotope Dilution Analysis

Analytical Chemistry, 1962
Isotope dilution analysis is combined with solvent extraction and spectrophotometry to produce an effective general method for the determination of constituents that are not extracted quantitatively. Combining isotope dilution with extraction of the cobalt-- 2-nitroso-1-naphthol complex into chloroform results in an accurate and reliable method for the

Zirconium–cobalt intermetallic compound for storage and recovery of hydrogen isotopes

Intermetallics, 2001
Abstract The intermetallic compound ZrCo was prepared and its suitability for storage, recovery and separation of hydrogen isotopes was studied. The storage capacity of the compound for hydrogen, deuterium and tritium was respectively found to be 160, 145 and 100 ml per gram of the compound at normal temperature and pressure.

The isotopically exchangeable form of native and applied cobalt in soils

Australian Journal of Soil Research, 1969
The experimental conditions and precision of alternative methods of measuring isotopically exchangeable cobalt (Coi.e) were investigated. The values of Coi.e varied from 0.16 to 5.4 p.p.m. for 25 soils and were highly correlated with the sum of cobalt extracted by ammonium acetate and subsequently by quinol, and the relationships between these forms ...
