Impact of Co-Occurrences of Code Smells and Design Patterns on Internal Code Quality Attributes

open access: yesIET Software
The structural features of a code section that may indicate a more serious issue with the design of a system or code are known as code smells. Design patterns, on the other hand, are meant to describe the best reusable solution for creating object ...

Is This Code the Best? Or Can It Be Further Improved? Developer Stats to the Rescue

open access: yesIEEE Access
Is the given code the best? Or can it be further improved? And if so, by how much? To answer these three questions, code cannot be seen in isolation from it’s developer as the developer factor plays a vital role in determining code quality ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
