RESEARCH ON UZBEK FOLKLORE AND DIALECTS: PRACTICE, METHODOLOGY, AND NEW APPROACHES
This article analyzes moral-spiritual parables in the medieval Turkic written monument, the “Codex Cumanicus”, in particular, images related to lepers and sins. The article highlights the symbolic and didactic functions of the concepts of disease and sin, shows how they were combined with the medieval religious-enlightenment worldview.
