Codex Cumanicus, belonging to the Cuman-Kypchaks, is the first Turkish work written in Latin letters. It is thought that the Codex was completed at the end of the 13th century and the beginning of the 14th century. In addition to the Kipchak-Latin-Persian dictionaries, some grammatical rules are also given in the work.

"Codex Cumanicus" is one of the most valuable monuments of Kipchak Turks and was written in the Crimea region in the XIII-XIV centuries. Traces of the Turkish-Kipchak dictionary reflected in the "Codex" can be found in the dialects of the Azerbaijani language.
