Initial coefficient bounds for certain class of meromorphic bi-univalent functions

open access: yesActa Universitatis Sapientiae: Mathematica, 2019
In this paper, we introduce and investigate an interesting subclass of meromorphic bi-univalent functions defined on Δ = {z ∈ ℂ: 1 < |z| < ∞}. For functions belonging to this class, estimates on the initial coefficients are obtained.

Local Adaptive Grouped Regularization and its Oracle Properties for Varying Coefficient Regression [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Varying coefficient regression is a flexible technique for modeling data where the coefficients are functions of some effect-modifying parameter, often time or location in a certain domain.

Coefficient estimates for exponential series [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1974
Results are obtained which relate the size of the coefficients a n {a_n} of an exponential series f ( x ) = Σ n = 0 ∞ a n

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

Faber Polynomial Coefficient Estimates of m-Fold Symmetric Bi-Univalent Functions with Bounded Boundary Rotation

open access: yesMathematics
In the current article, we introduce several new subclasses of m-fold symmetric analytic and bi-univalent functions associated with bounded boundary and bounded radius rotation within the open unit disk D.

On new subclass of meromorphically convex functions with positive coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesSurveys in Mathematics and its Applications, 2019
In this paper we introduce and study a new subclass of meromorphically uniformly convex functions with positive coefficients defined by a differential operator and obtain coefficient estimates, growth and distortion theorem, radius of convexity, integral

Robust Estimates of Okun's Coefficient for South Africa [PDF]

open access: yes
Persistently high unemployment in South Africa, especially in the face of improved economic conditions since 1994, begs the question: Does unemployment in South Africa respond to changes in output?

On the Estimation of Maximum Coefficients of Absorption [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review, 1925
On the basis of the correspondence principle it is shown that Einstein's coefficient of absorption can be estimated from the equation Bnα=2π3e2Q2/3h2 where e is the charge and Q the amplitude of the virtual oscillator which corresponds to the transition by absorption from state Sn to Sα. Assuming that probable maximum values can be obtained by taking e

Coefficient estimates for new subclasses of Ma-Minda bi-univalent functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2013
In this paper, we introduce and investigate two new subclasses Hσμ(λ,φ) and Mσγ(λ,μ,φ) of Ma-Minda bi-univalent functions defined by using subordination in the open unit disk D={z∈C:|z|
