Experimental determination of the coefficient of restitution
Abstract The aim of this study is to make an experimental determination of restitution coefficient during the clash between ball and stick in oina game. This study is made using a complex system for movement analysis named VICON, on 17 oina balls, that have different wear stages, in contact with two different sticks that have different ...

Basketball Surfaces and Coefficient of Restitution
A basketball was released from varying drop heights to simulate the impact speeds of a typical soft, medium, and hard dribble. This was repeated across four different surfaces that students typically play on–exposed aggregate concrete, maple wood flooring, EPI Outdoor Sport flooring, and playground rubber mesh. From the measured drop and bounce heights,

Coefficient of Restitution of Badminton Smashes
Badminton smashes were recorded and analyzed at high speed, measuring the velocities of the shuttlecock and racquet head to determine the relationship between initial impact velocity and the coefficient of restitution. It was found that the coefficient of restitution follows a negative linear relationship with impact velocity.

Coefficient of Restitution of Wet Tennis Balls
The coefficient of restitution of a damp tennis ball is of interest to tennis players. Using a spray bottle, water was added to a tennis ball and the mass of water on the wet ball was determined. The ball was then dropped from a fixed height of 0.86 m. The motion was recorded with a video camera and the bounce height was measured.

Coefficient of Restitution of a Tennis Ball
The coefficient of restitution (COR) of a tennis ball was investigated over a range of impact velocities. It was found that the COR of the ball was lower than ATP regulations specify, and that the COR decreased with increasing impact velocity.
