Cocrystals of Isoniazid with Polyphenols: Mechanochemical Synthesis and Molecular Structure

open access: yesCrystals, 2020
Isoniazid is used as anti-tuberculosis drug which possesses functional groups capable of forming hydrogen bonds. A series of cocrystals of isoniazid (INH) with polyphenolic coformers such as catechol (CAT), orcinol (ORC), 2-methylresorcinol (MER ...

Solid solution quantification from full powder X‐ray diffraction profile: novel application of multivariate calibration

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 58, Issue 5, Page 1700-1711, October 2025.
A new application of quantitative chemometric models (principal component regression and partial least‐squares regression) to powder X‐ray diffraction data is tested. The approach allows evaluation of the relative composition of solid solutions via the characteristic profile shift.

Structural, Hirshfeld surface and theoretical analysis of two conformational polymorphs of N,N′-bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)oxalamide [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The common feature of two conformational polymorphs of N,N′-bis(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)oxalamide is their crystallisation in the monoclinic space group P21/c with Z=4.

Bio-Purines as Co-Formers in Resveratrol Amorphous Systems

open access: yesCrystals
In the organic biomineralization of guanine (GUA), amorphous GUA is utilized to enhance its solubility, facilitating its transport for the formation of biominerals, and GUA nanocrystals are employed to protect tissues from ultraviolet damage.

Vapor‐Assisted Mechanochemical Synthesis of Enzyme and Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework Biocomposites

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 33, August 21, 2025.
It is demonstrated that a combination of mechanochemistry and accelerated aging can be used to synthesize Hydrogen‐bonded Organic Framework (HOF) biocomposites. The vapor‐induced growth enhances enzyme loading, ensures a more homogeneous enzyme distribution, and improves protective properties due to distinct growth mechanisms and kinetics.

Fine‐Tuning the Motion of Tetrafluoro‐1,4‐Benzoquinone within Charge‐Transfer Cocrystals Through Variation of the Donor: An Entropic and Enthalpic Point of View

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 42, July 25, 2025.
Five CT cocrystals using TFBQ and fused, polycyclic donors derived from fluorene are synthesized. The π‐stacking in all cocrystals provides a platform for the displaying of in‐plane molecular motions of TFBQ, which is by supramolecular interactions.
