Coherent Diffractive Imaging Using Table-top High Harmonic Generation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) is a lensless microscopy technique in which the structure of a specimen of interest is probed using a coherent short-wavelength light source.

Experimental aspects of multiharmonic-order coherent diffractive imaging

open access: yes, 2010
We describe some experimental aspects required for the implementation of a few-order high-harmonic source for coherent diffractive imaging in the extreme-ultraviolet region. Polychromatic high-angle diffractive images have been successfully processed for

Biodegradable 3D‐Printable and Coatable Antifouling Composites for Marine Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Marine biofouling damages submerged surfaces and raises greenhouse gas emissions. Biodegradable antifouling biocomposites were developed by hot‐mixing beeswax, Tween 80, and calcium stearate or stearic acid. Adjusting the component ratio enables processing via hot‐pressing, 3D‐printing, or dip‐coating.

Particle‐Level ZrO2 Atomic Layer Deposition Enables Fast‐Cycling and Long‐Life Graphite Cathodes for Dual‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A spatial location of atomic layer deposition (ALD)‐derived ZrO2 coatings is demonstrated to be a critical design parameter for stabilizing graphite cathodes in DIBs. Direct particle‐level ALD (PALD) screening of representative metal oxides identified ZrO2 as the coating that provides the most favorable balance of high‐rate capability and interfacial ...

Coherent diffractive imaging with lower coherence laboratory sources

open access: yes, 2014
Coherent Diffractive Imaging (CDI) also called "lens-less imaging" is an alternative to the classical brightfield, dark-field and phase contrast microscopy. CDI allows us to recover full information about the wave-field that passed sample ie. attenuation

An algorithm for Bragg coherent x-ray diffractive imaging of highly strained nanocrystals

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2020
By using phase retrieval, Bragg coherent diffractive imaging (BCDI) allows tracking of three-dimensional displacement fields inside individual nanocrystals.

Dynamic Coherent Diffractive Imaging for In-Situ Metrology of Volumetric Diffractive Element Printing

open access: yes
We demonstrate dynamic coherent diffractive imaging for in-situ metrology of volumetric diffractive element printing. Inter-frame updates constrained to a circular sector in the complex plane enable reference-free reconstruction, supporting photo ...

Intracrystalline Void‐Mediated Toughening of Brittle Crystals in Quail Eggshells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In quail eggshells, the high density and disordered arrangement of intracrystalline voids inhibit lattice cleavage, suppress long‐range crack propagation, and promote deformation twinning and quasi‐plasticity, serving as an essential toughening motif. We show that these voids remain within a narrow subcritical size range and therefore predominantly do ...

Coherent three-dimensional X-ray cryo-imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The combination of cryogenic sample temperatures with three-dimensional coherent diffractive imaging for the case of whole frozen-hydrated cells is discussed in the light of theoretical predictions of the achievable ...
