In dairy powder manufacturing facilities, the repeated isolation of clonally related Cronobacter sakazakii isolates underscores the persistent challenge of eliminating contamination risks posed by this pathogen, which may rapidly proliferate under conducive environmental conditions.

Efficacy of Chromocult Coliform Agar for Coliform and Escherichia coli Detection in Foods

Chromocult coliform agar (CCA) was compared with Petrifilm Escherichia coli count plate (PEC) for identifying coliforms and E. coli in a variety of meat products. Optimizing Cassava Starch Residue Inclusion in Broiler Diets: Balancing Growth Performance, Liver Health and Gut Microbial Dynamics

Moderate inclusion (20–30%) of cassava starch residue in broiler diets improved gut morphology and reduced E. coli counts with minimal adverse effects, while higher levels impaired growth and liver health. The findings highlight CSR's potential as a partial maize replacement, but caution is needed at elevated inclusion rates.
