Nature of the inhibitory effect of collagenase on phosphodiesterase activity.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1985
The level of phosphodiesterase (PDE) activity is lower in collagenase-isolated human fat cells than in adipose tissue fragments. The inhibition is not species-specific since collagenase also inhibits PDE in rat adipose tissue and bovine heart.

Different collagenase delivery for Dupuytren disease in public hospitals

open access: yesAustralasian Journal of Plastic Surgery, 2020
**Background**: The delivery protocol of collagenase Clostridium histolyticum (collagenase) injection for Dupuytren’s disease is variable, due to limited evidence for any one approach and widespread ‘off-label’ delivery occurring in Australia.

Taxonomic and Enzymatic Characterization of Flocculibacter collagenilyticus gen. nov., sp. nov., a Novel Gammaproteobacterium With High Collagenase Production

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2021
Collagens from marine animals are an important component of marine organic nitrogen. Collagenase-producing bacteria and their collagenases play important roles in collagen degradation and organic nitrogen recycling in the ocean.

Ubiquitin-like protein from human placental extract exhibits collagenase activity.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
An aqueous extract of human placenta exhibits strong gelatinase/collagenase activity in zymography. 2-D gel electrophoresis of the extract with gelatin zymography in the second dimension displayed a single spot, identified as ubiquitin-like component ...

The Critical Role of MMP13 in Regulating Tooth Development and Reactionary Dentinogenesis Repair Through the Wnt Signaling Pathway

open access: yesFrontiers in Cell and Developmental Biology, 2022
Matrix-metalloproteinase-13 (MMP13) is important for bone formation and remodeling; however, its role in tooth development remains unknown. To investigate this, MMP13-knockout (Mmp13−/−) mice were used to analyze phenotypic changes in the dentin–pulp ...
