A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Collecting Duct Renal Cell Carcinoma Found to Involve the Collecting System During Partial Nephrectomy: A Case Report

open access: yesJournal of Kidney Cancer and VHL, 2015
Collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is a rare and aggressive form of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) arising from the principal cells of the collecting duct.  One third of cases present with metastatic disease, but many present in a manner similar to conventional

Rhabdoid collecting duct carcinoma with lymphangitic carcinomatosis causing acute lethal chylopericardium

open access: yesRespiratory Medicine Case Reports, 2020
Collecting duct carcinoma is a rare neoplasm of the kidney, accounting for only 1–2% of renal tumors. These tumors arise from the principal cells of the renal collecting ducts of Bellini.

Adaptive response of the murine collecting duct to alkali loading [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Fine-tuning of salt and acid-base homeostasis is achieved in the renal collecting duct through the action of intercalated and principal cells. Their activity is tightly regulated adapting to changes in systemic acid-base, fluid, or electrolyte status ...

Multidimensional Cellular Micro‐Compartments to Model Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Dormancy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is an understudied subtype of breast cancer that is susceptible to late recurrences. In this study, micro‐compartmentalization techniques spanning multiple dimensions, including 2D, pseudo‐3D, and 3D, are integrated to uncover the mechanisms underlying ILC dormancy, revealing the central role of p27Kip1.

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Urea secretion in medullary collecting duct of the rat kidney during water and mannitol diuresis [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
During steady-state water or mannitol diuresis, the microcatheterization technique was used to study the handling of urea, fluid, sodium, potassium, and total solute along the length of the medullary collecting duct in anesthetized rats.

Clustomesogen Showing Sub‐Zero Liquid Crystal Properties: Supramolecular Assembly Between Cs2[Mo6Ii8(OCOC2F5)6] and Hexaethylenoxide Containing Mesogenic Dimers

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Associating a red‐NIR phosphorescent octahedral hexanuclear molybdenum cluster compound with hexaethyleneoxide chains bearing mesogenic units on both ends leads to an emissive hybrid liquid crystal showing mesomorphism on a very unusual temperature range down to −25°C.

Viewing Cortical Collecting Duct Function Through Phenotype-guided Single-Tubule Proteomics

open access: yesFunction, 2020
The revolution of the omics technologies has enabled profiling of the molecules of any sample. However, the heterogeneity of the kidney with highly specialized nephron segments like the cortical collecting duct (CCD) poses a challenge regarding ...
