Collective Mode in Two-Band Superconductor [PDF]

open access: yesProgress of Theoretical Physics, 1993
Collective mode in two-band superconductor is investigated. The s-wave and d-wave modes in s-wave superconducting state are considered. We show the eigen-frequency of these modes as a function of temperature and the softening of the d-wave mode at the onset temperature of d-wave ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

High-spin rotational bands in 123I

open access: yes, 2012
High-spin states in 123I were populated in the reaction 80Se(48Ca,p4n)123I at a beam energy of 207 MeV and γ-ray coincidence events were measured using the Gammasphere spectrometer.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Strongly subradiant states in planar atomic arrays

open access: yesNanophotonics
The optically trapped ensembles of atoms provide a versatile platform for storing and coherent manipulation of quantum information. However, efficient realization of quantum information processing requires long-lived quantum states protected from the ...

Experimental study of coherent betatron resonances with a Paul trap

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2010
Linear and nonlinear resonant instabilities of charged-particle beams traveling in periodic quadrupole focusing channels are studied experimentally with a compact non-neutral plasma trap.

Oblate collective bands in 199Pb and 200Pb

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1992
Abstract Three cascades of dipole transitions have been identified in 199,200 Pb with rather regular energy spacings of about 50 keV. Together with several cross-over transitions they form three rotational bands in these normally spherical nuclei. Arguments are given that the dipole transitions are of M1 multipolarity as opposed to E1 so that these ...

Properties of terminating bands in nuclei

open access: yes, 1986
General properties of terminating bands are briefly reviewed and exemplified on the observed high-spin properties ofl58Er andl56Er. The very similar features of the positive parity high-spin spectra of the N = 88 isotones of Dy, Er and Yb are pointed out

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created
