Differentiable Collision Avoidance Using Collision Primitives

open access: yes2022 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), 2022
A central aspect of robotic motion planning is collision avoidance, where a multitude of different approaches are currently in use. Optimization-based motion planning is one method, that often heavily relies on distance computations between robots and obstacles.

Orbital debris–debris collision avoidance [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Space Research, 2011
We focus on preventing collisions between debris and debris, for which there is no current, effective mitigation strategy. We investigate the feasibility of using a medium-powered (5 kW) ground-based laser combined with a ground-based telescope to prevent collisions between debris objects in low-Earth orbit (LEO).

Collision Avoidance Decision Method for Unmanned Surface Vehicle Based on an Improved Velocity Obstacle Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
To ensure navigation safety, unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) need to have autonomous collision avoidance capability. A large number of studies on ship collision avoidance are available, and most of these papers assume that the target ships keep straight

Strategies of locomotor collision avoidance [PDF]

open access: yesGait & Posture, 2013
Collision avoidance during locomotion can be achieved by a variety of strategies. While in some situations only a single trajectory will successfully avoid impact, in many cases several different strategies are possible. Locomotor experiments in the presence of static boundary conditions have suggested that the choice of an appropriate trajectory is ...

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
