ABSTRACT Background Primary pulmonary mesenchymal neoplasms with EWSR1::CREM fusion are rare. These lesions are challenging to diagnose by morphology and immunohistochemistry alone. Case A 66‐year‐old woman (ex‐smoker) was found to have a 1.3‐cm right lower lobe lung nodule that had grown very slowly over a 9‐year period.

Color Polymorphism and Predation in a Lake Victoria Cichlid Fish
Haplochromine cichlid fish have radiated into hundreds of species in East-African lakes, possibly driven by divergent sexual selection on body coloration. We studied the color polymorphic Lake Victoria cichlid Neochromis omnicaeruleus, in which a presumably ancestral phenotype with blue males and brown females co-occurs with two distinct classes of ...

Discovery of Gynoecium Color Polymorphism in an Aquatic Plant
Journal of Integrative Plant Biology, 2008Abstract Flower color polymorphism exhibited by natural populations provides an opportunity for understanding the evolutionary mechanisms contributing to the diversity of floral morphology. However, little is known about the color polymorphism of female organs in flowering plants.

Endocrine mechanisms controlling body-color polymorphism in locusts
Archives of Insect Biochemistry and Physiology, 2001AbstractThe present article reviews recent published and unpublished findings on the hormonal mechanisms for the control of body‐color polymorphism in locusts. Emphasis is placed on the dark color–inducing factors and their role in the induction of various types of body coloration observed under different environmental conditions.

Polymorphism in normal human color vision and its mechanism
Vision Research, 1990Earlier we reported that Rayleigh matches made by males with normal color vision fall into distinct groups, and proposed that this behavior reflects an X-chromosome linked polymorphism in the spectral positioning of cone pigments (Neitz & Jacobs, 1986).

Melanophilin Polymorphism in Ferrets of Different Color
Doklady Biochemistry and Biophysics, 2023In mammals, the main contribution to the variability of pigmentation is made by two groups of genes directly related to the metabolic pathways of pigment synthesis and controlling the transport of melanosomes in melanocytes to keratinocytes. In order to identify the genetic basis of pigmentation variants, the nucleotide sequences of the melanophilin ...
