Effect of coloring solutions on microhardness and surface roughness of bleached nanohybrid composite restorations

open access: yesJournal of Orofacial Sciences
Introduction: Studies on the effects of coloring solutions such as coffee and cola on the surface properties of bleached composite restorations are limited. Also, the effect of coloring agents on surface roughness and microhardness of composite specimens

Echocontrast agent‐enhanced color flow imaging of the breast [PDF]

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, 1993
AbstractAn ultrasound contrast agent which survives transit through the pulmonary circulation after injection into a peripheral vein can also be used for the demonstration of flow characteristics in the peripheral organs. Such a substance (SH U 508 A, Schering AG, Berlin) was tested in the Gynecological Department of the University of Marburg for its ...

The Influence of Single, Two, and Three Stage Bleaching on the Opacity of Deinked Stock [PDF]

open access: yes, 1951
Bleaching may be defined as the alteration of coloring matter in such fashion as to cause it to reflect more true white, or the solubilizing of such coloring matter to make it possible to wash out the color substance, or both. (2) The most common method

Identification of Coloring Agents Causing Poor Coloring Reproducibility in Computerized Color Matching

open access: yesJournal of Light & Visual Environment, 2002
Two methods are used for color matching: visual color matching and CCM(computerized color matching) which is now used quite frequently. Although CCM decrease the color difference more easily, color correction must be repeated in the case of unstable color development due to the limited coloring reproducibility.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
